During the filming of a documentary on men and games, the film director falls in a creative crisis. He stops the production but starts instead of that perceiving all his surrounding as an act of playing. Memories from his childhood intertwine with images from the film and form an ode to the absurdity of a gesture.
Matjaž Ivanišin is a Slovenian writer and a director. His short films made during his study at the Slovene National Film school, as well as documentaries, which he directed after his graduation, were screened at numerous festivals around the world and received several awards. “Playing Men” – his newest experimental feature - has also received prizes and jury mentions in international film festivals.
